Course Description

Pharmacology studies the effect of compounds on the body as well as what the body does to a compound. In this lesson, you will differentiate between the two primary branches of pharmacology: pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics. You will take a deep dive into bioavailability and the five processes of consuming a biochemical compound: absorption, distribution, metabolism, excretion, and toxicity. You will then consider potential undesired effects and adverse reactions.

Benefits to the Learner
