Course Description

When you think of best practices for losing weight, you probably think of some combination of diet and exercise. The logic behind these strategies has to do with energy expenditure: Your body gets energy from food and stores energy as fat. In theory, it seems pretty simple; in practice, it’s a bit more complicated than that. In this lesson, you will explore various methods for determining how much energy you are expending at any given moment. You will define how you measure energy in food, explain the energy flow through the body (fat composition), and determine how to measure the energy you expend.
