Course Description

There is an interesting question that all HR professionals encounter: is turnover good or bad? The answer is, it depends. In this lesson, you will explore the costs and consequences of turnover. You will use Professor John Hausknecht’s turnover costs calculator to figure out the costs of turnover within your own organization. You will then examine various assessment methods and their criteria, including validity, cost, adverse impact, and candidate reactions. Within the selection process, you will examine the three phases of candidate assessments, from the initial screening of a candidate to the final stage using contingent methods. You will also evaluate your view of turnover and assess your management of workforce flow.
