Course Description

Supply chain analytics start with demand forecasting, and the first step in demand forecasting is measuring performance. Recall the shopping list example. When you jot down what you want to buy before you go to the store, you are considering how much demand you have for the item. For example, you might purchase one roll of paper towels instead of ten. But the real-world business implications of correctly measuring demand forecast performance are more complex and have higher stakes than your average shopping list. In this lesson, you will measure demand forecast performance using an existing data set to prepare for creating your own demand forecast.
