Course Description

Appraisals are needed for an independent opinion of the value of real estate. The classic use of a real estate appraisal is in support of a mortgage loan or an investment prospectus. Having accurate data and information to support the appraisal will ensure that the appraiser performs their work accurately and that your investment goals are met. How can you develop the ability to share information you may have with the appraiser hired to prepare the value estimate? In this lesson, you will evaluate the steps in the appraisal process to help you review information gathered to create an opinion of value on a property. Doing so will allow you to determine the accuracy of context and its representation of market value. You will develop an understanding of how appraisers determine property value by analyzing essential data that impacts the property, the local market, and whether or not the property can yield higher profits.
