Course Description

In this lesson, you will examine how to adapt your messages so that your target audience members can quickly and easily capture the information that they need as they read your messages in which you communicate about data. You'll explore the role and function of data analytics and identify how to communicate the results of your analyses. You'll then look at how to write effectively about numbers. In addition to numbers, you will need to think about how to incorporate graphic elements, which can enhance your writing if used effectively. You'll determine how to use tables, charts, and diagrams for optimal results. This lesson expands on concepts explored in the Business and Management Writing series: Introduction to Reading and Writing in the Workplace, Apply Recommended Document Design Principles, Organize Your Message Using the Appropriate Structure, and Manage Your Style. For the best experience, first complete the Business and Management Writing series, then complete all three lessons in the Advanced Business Writing series in order: Adapt to the Communication Situation, Create an Executive Summary, and Shape Your Message.
