Course Description

In this lesson, you will examine the issues and challenges around implementing a balanced scorecard and determine how to produce a balanced scorecard report that helps decision makers see not only where you are but how you got there and what you will do next. You'll distinguish between outputs and outcomes. You'll also examine how organizations cascade the balanced scorecard from the highest levels of setting overall strategy down to individual units, aligning from top to bottom as well as horizontally across similar units. You'll then identify how to integrate a balanced scorecard into a report that people are going to be able to use and interpret. For the best experience, complete "Choosing the Right Performance Measures for Your Organization: Analyzing and Implementing Effective Management Reporting Systems" and "Choosing the Right Performance Measures for Your Organization: Analyzing and Creating Balanced Scorecards" prior to taking this lesson.
