Course Description

There are a variety of abiotic factors that can affect plant selection, beyond the chemical properties of the soil that we have already considered. The position and angle of the sun, the above-ground built environment, and below-ground utilities can all impact what is desirable, or even possible, to plant. In this lesson, you will examine many of these potentially complicating elements, and see how they may influence your design decisions. For the best experience, complete "Site Assessment: Explore a Soil's Physical and Chemical Properties" before taking this lesson.
