Course Description

Planning is a long-term perspective where you must look to the future to help municipalities make good use of natural resources and the built environment. Historical preservation can demonstrate how building rehabilitation is a sustainability strategy. In this lesson, you'll explore the integration of sustainable preservation into community planning. You will also consider how to assess the unique trends and values of your local area. Finally, you’ll investigate methods to advocate for rehabilitation of the existing built environment within the distinctive social and environmental setting of your community.
