Course Description

Does being the first to bring a product to a new product category guarantee you will be a leader in that category? In this lesson, you'll examine the best time to enter a market and explore how marketers try to predict and track how products move through the market. You'll also hear how Apple uses insights from diffusion to develop its strategy. You'll participate in a hands-on activity where you assess the pioneer in your own product category. You'll then identify what stage of the product life cycle one of your products is in and consider strategies that best match that stage.
