Course Description

Even projects aiming specifically for sustainability can gain access to preservation funding when thoughtfully paired with upgrades that minimize disruption to the historic features of the site. A project can benefit from being adapted to maximize funding opportunities. In this lesson, you will gain insights into how to adapt your project plans to achieve additional sources of funding or approval and to the differing priorities of various funding sources. State and Federal governments have different priorities, and those priorities often change. Sources of private and community funding should be pursued and can result in benefits that extend beyond the economic. You will research financial incentives and analyze financing options to better communicate the value of your project to potential funders.
