Course Description

When organizational issues arise, they can lead to various forms of misalignment. As an organizational designer, you will need to be able to identify and name where organizations align and misalign. But how do you do this? In this lesson, you’ll use the congruence model to describe organizations and assess whether they are aligned or misaligned.

For the best experience, take all four lessons in the "Fundamentals of Organizational Design" series in order: "Assess Everyday Life in Organizational Terms", "Analyze an Organization in Terms of a Transformation Process", "Diagnose When Organizational Design or Redesign is Needed", and "Apply the Congruence Model to Assess Alignment and Misalignment."
