Course Description

Nonprofits always start with an idea — typically an idea to solve a problem or influence a group of people. This idea usually becomes the mission of the organization, while the person who championed the idea often becomes the leader of the fledgling nonprofit. Whether you are working with a newly formed nonprofit or a well-established one, there are lessons to be learned around strengthening governance.

In this lesson, you will explore the importance of sound, strategic organizational governance and examine how to strengthen this governance.
