Course Description

You may love the mission and values behind a company. You may also believe that the company has strong fundamental business strategies and is headed toward future success. So how can you take these qualitative observations and convert them to a concrete financial forecast to convince others that the firm will indeed become more profitable going forward? How does the current stock price compare to what the price may be in the future based on that forecast? In this lesson, you will delve into the valuation portion of fundamental equity research. You will examine multiples as a common valuation method. You will also examine how to incorporate financial trends and forecasts into your valuation calculations. Using online sources to gather relevant data, you will complete the target price and financial summary portions of the One-Pager. For the best experience, take all three lessons of the "Evaluating Stocks" series in order: "Act as a Research Analyst to Select a Stock and Research Business Fundamentals", "Practice Limited Valuation Techniques to Determine a Target Price for a Stock", and "Make a Recommendation to Pass, Pursue, or Hold a Stock."
