Course Description

As sustainability efforts ramp up within your organization, it is necessary to define and develop capabilities — those efforts that are integrated across the firm, involve other organizations, and/or require learning new skills. How do you identify what you need to learn? Who will you need to work with to achieve the goals you've set? In this lesson, you will delve into the concept of capabilities, including how to put them into action and identify other parties that you may need to partner with to accomplish the goals you've set. You will also determine the factors that may either constrain or enable your sustainability initiatives. You will then identify the capabilities and relationships you will need to implement your sustainability initiative and examine enabling factors that will encourage your success as well as any constraining factors that will require you to pivot. Finally, you will analyze the regulatory, stakeholder, and customer trends needed to enable progress toward your goals. For the best experience, we recommend before starting this lesson, you complete "Implementing Sustainability: Determine Your Motivation and Goals" and "Implementing Sustainability: Determine Your Metrics and Tactics."
