Course Description

In this lesson, you will recognize and prepare to confront — both as an individual and as part of a group — forces that intentionally disempower ordinary people and undermine democracy. You will define your core values and describe concrete ways that those values are being violated in a specific setting. Finally, you will craft a personal story for use in a larger public narrative that will be used to move members of a targeted audience toward collective action. For the best experience, take all three lessons of the Engaging in Collective Action series in order: Prepare to Confront Forces That Disempower People and Undermine Democracy, Identify the Bonds That Lead to Collective Action, and Use Established Tools to Build and Strengthen Social Bonds.
