      • Discover how to overcome blockages that impede your ability to effectively lead and manage others, and develop techniques and strategies that will strengthen your ability to motivate all types of employees. Through experiential activities, personal assessments, and interactive feedback, this session will enhance your understanding of your individualized leadership approach and strengthen your ability to lead, inspire, and build success with others in your hospitality organization.
  • Tuesday, June 14, 2022
    • Making Change Happen with Cathy Enz
      • Our post-pandemic world is unsettling, but it also provides us with opportunities for innovation and needed change. The things that got you to where you are in your organization will not be the things that keep you there in the future; now is the time for you to rethink and reinvent. Your challenge is to establish new initiatives and create the best conditions for you, your team, and your organization to change and grow.
      • In this session, we will explore how to introduce change in both the short and long term. We will focus on changing habits and mindsets, assessing the need for change, selecting among viable change initiatives, motivating and engaging others to move forward, and introducing change through a systematic process.
  • Wednesday, June 15, 2022
    • Using Financial Tools for Value Creation with Steve Carvell
      • Explore how to bridge the gap between business strategy and operational performance. In this session, you will focus on value creation from the perspective of the hotel operator, with the expectation that getting the most value out of the individual business units will, over time, aid in the company's goal of value maximization. Considerable time will also be spent understanding and managing issues arising between the owner and the operator regarding their expectations and goals for the hotel.
  • Thursday, June 16, 2022
    • Strategic Sustainability for Hospitality with Jeanne Varney
      • In this session, we’ll explore the strategic importance of integrating sustainability into all aspects of a hospitality organization. We will discuss global sustainable hospitality trends, value propositions (including financial), risk management/mitigation, resources, partner organizations, and more. You will also explore the critical need for transparency when communicating with stakeholders and how to increase engagement from both employees and customers. We’ll discuss strategic frameworks for setting a sustainability strategy for your organization (at the corporate, property, or department level) along with approaches that ensure the success of each initiative.
