Course Description

Individual health — and therefore public health — is at least partially influenced by individual behavior. Individual behavior change can be difficult, leading to frustration. In this lesson, you will explore why change is hard. You will consider the factors influencing behavior and evaluate the benefits and costs to interventions. You will also assess attitudes and identify strategies that support public health behaviors. Finally, you'll consider racism and the effects of discrimination on health outcomes.
