Your sentence-level choices in particular will influence your clarity and your credibility based on your vocabulary, sentence structure, grammar, orthography (including but not limited to punctuation and proofreading), and tone. These features will impact how clear your message is — i.e., how easily your readers can understand you — and what they will think of you.
