Course Description

When you prepare messages for workplace audiences, you can't always be certain about how much of a message they will read. Some readers might read the entire message, some might skim certain sections, and some might skip entire portions. People read differently for work than they do when they read at leisure or for pleasure; workplace writing, therefore, requires a different approach than the non-workplace writing with which you might be more familiar. To be specific, you need to design your message in a way that enables your target audience to read selectively yet still obtain the key information that they need.
