Course Description

This lesson provides an overview of litigation and the institutions in which it occurs from a cost/benefit perspective. You will explore the differences between litigating as an individual versus as part of a group of plaintiffs or defendants. You will then look into the respective roles of lawyers and clients. You will also carefully evaluate your goals so that you can make an informed business judgment about when to pursue litigation and when to consider alternatives.
