Course Description

You can probably think of a time when you purchased a good or service and thought later that it wasn’t worth what you paid. It may have been because you felt you paid too much or because you found a similar product that was better. No matter why you felt this way, it’s not a good feeling to have. As healthcare professionals, you never want your patients to have this same feeling about the care they receive. In this lesson, you will examine the ways that quality is defined in healthcare, the relationship between quality and value, and how these things impact everyone working in the healthcare field. You’ll then complete a research activity reviewing healthcare ratings and use the data you collect to complete a second, more in-depth exercise in which you’ll rate your organization (or one you are familiar with) from four different perspectives.

Benefits to the Learner
