Course Description

To analyze a service process, you generally need to analyze the queues within it. You need to know how many customers are in the queue on average and how long they generally wait to receive service. In this lesson, you will receive an introduction to queueing theory as a method by which you can analyze service operations and practice using tools of queue analysis, including the Lq approximation and Little's Law. You will also test your ability to calculate performance metrics based on a given scenario, and you will use the Queueing Performance Metrics Calculator provided in this lesson to find key performance metrics.
