Course Description

While many of the laws you will encounter in your daily business dealings were created by U.S. government entities, some laws originated elsewhere. This lesson will focus on three of these kinds of laws: laws of foreign countries, international law, and what is most commonly referred to as private law. You will review the legal challenges that derive from engaging with foreign individuals and organizations and get to know the mechanisms used to enforce external law in U.S. courts. You will then examine private law and review its costs and benefits for your business.
