Course Description

Your organization operates as a single entity and as a part of a larger, constantly changing market. Internal strengths and weaknesses are directly affected by external opportunities and threats. As a healthcare leader, you can address these interrelationships in your strategic planning process and create strategies that uphold the strongest parts of your product offerings. One method that you can use is the SWOT — strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats — analysis. In this lesson, you'll discover what a SWOT analysis is and how to conduct one individually. You'll also be presented with a sample SWOT analysis. You will then compare the SWOT analysis method to other frameworks such as the BCG Matrix and Porter's Five Forces. Finally, you'll conduct your own SWOT analysis.
