Course Description

The interview protocol is where you start building the actual content of your user interview. This is where the interview takes shape and is finalized prior to arriving at the interview location itself. In this lesson, you will explore the concepts involved in establishing an interview protocol and defining its structure. You will determine how to create effective interview questions and identify important logistical considerations for your interview. You will also examine interview pitfalls and discover how to avoid them. This lesson assumes you have knowledge of the essentials of human-centered design explored in these "Human-Centered Design Essentials" lessons: "What Is HCI?," "The Human-Centered Design Mindset," "Measure Usability and Assess User Experience," and "The Stages of the Human-Centered Design Process."
