Course Description

The muscular and skeletal systems provide a framework for you to move around and act as protection for several organs. Maintaining this support structure is important to being able to stay active and pain-free throughout your life. In this lesson, you will examine a selection of plants that can be pain relievers, antioxidants, or anti-inflammatories. By incorporating some of these plants into your health plan, you can potentially reduce or eliminate a number of health issues. This lesson assumes you have knowledge of the basic safety implications of plant-based medicines explored in the Historical Applications of Plant-Based Medicine lessons: Examine the History of Ethnobotany, Categorize Active Ingredients, Use Plant-Based Medicine Safely, and Become an Informed Consumer.
