Course Description

Once an organization has a job description, job analysis, and job specification for a given position, they then need to locate talent and choose the right hire — both crucial HR activities. Once someone is hired, they need to be trained in the specifics of how the organization handles certain work. Additionally, new hires need to be motivated to understand their duties and how they fit with the overall goals of the company. Organizations also need to evaluate job performance to make sure someone is performing well, then adjust compensation based on that performance. There is an entire HR process that organizations can follow to ensure they are identifying, hiring, and supporting the right candidates. In this lesson, you will examine an HR management process that starts with recruiting job candidates; decides whom to hire that will be supportive of the organization's goals and initiatives; and then determines how to motivate, evaluate, and compensate them once they are part of the company.
