Course Description

Conflict is inevitable. Whenever you gather multiple people in a room or close environment, disagreements are bound to occur. But these disagreements in the workplace don't have to be damaging; they simply indicate differences — of opinion, of approach, of diagnosis. Disagreements will happen at most levels, and organizations must have strategies for resolution. In this lesson, you will define conflict and distinguish among the various types of conflict. You will also consider the different responses to conflict we can use while at work. Finally, you will examine how negotiation tactics may be applied in the workplace to safely navigate conflicts and prevent them from escalating into more serious interpersonal or organizational issues.
