Course Description

A maltster usually provides a Certificate of Analysis (COA) which reports the results of various analyses, providing specifications for aspects of the malt's characteristics that will impact the brewing process. The tests to produce this data include analyses of a sample wort to help you predict the flavors and aromas that specific malts will bring to your beer recipe. In this lesson, you will examine the analyses normally presented on a COA and how to interpret this data to make choices for your recipe.
