Course Description

The at-will employment system in place in the United States includes exceptions that protect employees from what might sometimes seem like the unlimited power of the employer. But behaviors on the part of the employer can also violate the at-will contractual arrangement, such as situations in which the employer is engaged in questionable activity or asks the employee to do something illegal. In this lesson, you’ll examine complications that can occur in organizations around wrongful termination and refine your thinking as you consider the rulings in some illuminating termination cases.
