Course Description

As a PSEA UniServ Representative, you will be a key participant in collective bargaining actions. A significant component of this work involves ensuring that the process unfolds in a way that adheres to the high standards of fairness, transparency, and ethics. Maintaining procedural justice is key to achieving successful negotiations and nurturing long-term relationships.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Understand your role in procedural justice.
  • Learn the definition and parameters of the practice.
  • Become familiar with the research around perceptions of procedural justice (or the lack thereof), and how it can better inform your strategies for communications and bargaining approaches.
  • Explore scenarios in which the outcome hinges on a critical decision related to procedural justice.
  • Undertake an exercise involving self-reflection on your own experiences and future approaches related to this essential element of negotiation.
