Certificate Description

This certificate program educates healthcare professionals and trainees in the evidence-based management of common, high-impact medical conditions. You will examine diseases that affect a variety of organ systems, study the scientific basis of therapeutic agents, learn current treatment guidelines, and apply evidence-based recommendations in clinical decision making. You’ll also explore disease pathophysiology, drug mechanism of action, medication side effects, and patient-specific factors that may alter management. You’ll then consider the goals of management, develop and revise treatment plans, and select pharmaceutical agents from different classes to maximize patient benefit and minimize side effects and interactions.
